Application for Courses, Autumn 2022

Due to the flexible structure of the programme, students must apply for the courses that they wish to study each semester. The application is done via antagning.se (the Swedish version of universityadmissions.se). Programme students are guaranteed admission to all courses given by the Faculty of Science as long as the specific admission requirements are fulfilled and the application is submitted on time.

The autumn semester courses are open for applications from 15 March to 19 April2022. It is important that you submit your application on time! All courses will be closed for application after the deadline and may or may not be reopened for late applications before the start of the semester. If you intend to write your Bachelor's thesis next semester contact the director of studies before the application deadline.

Note also that after the first selection results are communicated on 12 July, admitted students must accept or decline their study places, see more information on antagning.se. The deadline is 22 July and the final admission results are communicated on 28 July.

Contact the study adviser or the director of studies if you need assistance with your application.

Spring Semester 2022

The spring semester started on Monday 17 January and will end on Sunday 5 June.

Regarding teaching

As of 9 February 2022, the majority of the Covid-19 restrictions decided by the government and the Swedish Public Health Agency have been removed. According to a decision issued by the vice-chancellor on 7 February, a gradual adaptation towards activities without restrictions should be completed by 21 March 2022. More information in this regard can be found on Lund University's website.

During the first half of the spring semester, the teaching has mainly been carried out on the university's premises, but online participation in certain teaching activities has been offered on the majority of the courses. However, all examinations scheduled for March and April will only be carried out on the university's premises as planned.

All teaching from March 21 will be conducted on campus. However, the University must continue to be prepared for the situation to change rapidly depending on infection rates in the community.

Regarding admission

All courses given in the spring semester have been open for application during the period 15 September - 15 October. The admission process consists of two selection rounds. The first selection was completed on 9 December when all applicants received a notification of the preliminary admission results. Admitted applicants must answer to this notification no later than 17 December in order to keep the offered study or reserve place. The final notification of the admission results after the second selection round has be communicated on 22 December.

Certain courses will been reopened for late applications on antagning.se on 27 December. Some courses starting in the second half of the spring semester will be open for late applications during 6-20 mars.

Late applicants and applicants placed on the waiting list will receive a notification regarding admission in close proximity to the start of the course.

Course information

The schedule for all courses in mathematics, mathematical statistics and numerical analysis is published in the scheduling tool TimeEdit-webb. More information about TimeEdit can be found under the heading Schedule in the left menu. Note that even if premises are booked for the teaching, all teaching will be conducted online as long as the restrictions prevail.

Websites for the spring semester courses are available in the Canvas learning platform. Admitted students will automatically have access to the respective websites in Canvas.
