Application for Courses, Spring 2026
Owing to the flexible structure of the programme, students must apply for the courses they wish to study each semester. The application is done via antagning.se (the Swedish version of universityadmissions.se). Programme students are guaranteed admission to courses within the mathematical disciplines given by the Faculty of Science as long as the specific admission requirements are fulfilled and the application is submitted in time.
The application deadline is 15 October 2025 for the upcoming spring semester. It is important that you submit your application in time! All courses will be closed for application after the deadline and may or may not be reopened for late applications before the start of the semester.
All applicants will receive a first notification of selection results on 10 December. It is extremely important to reply to this notification and accept or decline the offered study place by 15 December. Applicants who do not reply by this date will lose any places (accepted or on the waiting list) that they have been ofered. The second notification of selection results will be communicated on 18 December.
Information meeting
An information meeting regarding course selection was held on Friday 3 October at 15:15-17:00 in the Hörmander Lecture Hall.
We presented the course offerings in mathematics, mathematical statistics, numerical analysis and some other relevant subjects outside the mathematical disciplines given in the upcoming spring semester.
The presentation files from the meeting are posted below:
- Courses in Mathematics
- Courses in Mathematical Statistics
- Courses in Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing
- Courses in Physics
Contact the student counsellor or the director of studies if you need assistance with your application.
Note also that the Master's programmes given at the Centre for Mathematical Science with start in the autumn semester of 2026 will only be open for applications during the international admission round, i.e. from 15 October 2025 to 15 January 2026. Applications to the master's programmes should be submitted at universityadmissions.se.
