NAMA005 Introduction to Nonlinear Applied Analysis, 7.5 credits, spring 22
LTH courses in pedagogy, research practices and communication open for PhD students:
GEM002F Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, 5 hp
The course corresponds to 3 weeks of full-time work and is part of the qualifying programme in teaching and learning in higher education at LTH. Consists of lectures, group exercises, a longer group project and an individual writing assignment (reflection on teaching).
GEM040F Theory of Science and Methodology of Research, 4.5 hp
The course corresponds to 3 weeks of full-time work. The course consists of lectures, seminars, around one oral presentation and three written assignments. It introduces theory of science issues and methods relevant to research and development in the engineering sciences, as well as encourage reflection and constructive critical discussion of current research and research methods.
GEM006 Communicating Science, 5 hp
The course corresponds to 3 weeks of full-time work of which 1 week is part of the qualifying programme in teaching and learning in higher education at LTH. Course consists of lectures and individual assignments, including rhetoric exercises and popular science writing, followed by group discussions and feedback.
GEM065F Academic Writing for Publication in the Engineering and Science Disciplines, 6 hp
The course corresponds to 4 weeks of full-time work. Applicants must have progressed far enough in their doctoral work that they are ready to begin writing an original research paper. Before attending course, it is recommended to have a rough draft of a journal paper. Within the course a paper needs to be finished.
