Abstract

Prostate cancer is the one of the most common and deadliest cancer forms. Early detection and classification of the cancer is critical in the treatment process. In recent years, the combination of the digitization of the diagnostic process and increased computational power has enabled the use of computer-aided diagnostic systems, such as automated prostate cancer grading. A deep learning-based AI system has the potential to drastically reduce patient waiting times and increase precision of the diagnosis. I will introduce this subject, talk about the current status of the field, and mention some potential future development.
