Abstract:

There are infinitely many natural numbers and infinitely many real numbers. But are all infinities created equal? In other words, are there as many natural as real numbers? What about the rational numbers? And how do we even compare infinities anyway? In this talk, we delve into the foundational mathematics of set theory and learn what it means to count. This will lead us into the infinite realm of infinitely many infinities, where we simply continue to count onwards with 'infinity+1'.
