Abstract:

In my talk I will discuss a rather unknown but simple theorem from complex analysis that, in my opinion, illustrates the beauty of this subject. I will also briefly talk about the remarkable backstory of the man behind the theorem, Robert Jentzsch, who died on the western front of World War I at the age of 27.
