Seminar on Analysis, Geometry and PDEs, "Highest Cusped Waves for the Burgers-Hilbert and Fractional KdV equations", Joel Dahne (Uppsala University)
In this talk I'll present a proof of the existence of a periodic highest, cusped, traveling wave solution for the Burgers-Hilbert equation as well as ongoing work on extending the method used to a family of fractional KdV equations. The proof is to a large extent computer assisted and the focus will be on the reduction to a fixed point that lends itself to computer assisted tools as well as the basic ideas of the computer assisted parts.
